Participation Statement

Through training, qualification and ongoing risk management, every effort is made to maximise safety. However it should be noted that the British Mountaineering Council recognises that hill walking and mountaineering are activities which carry a certain degree of risk and have a danger of personal injury or even death. In order to ensure a high degree of safety it is essential that participants agree to follow instructions given by the Walk North group leader and that any illness, distress or concern a participant may be feeling is immediately brought to the attention of the Walk North group leader.
